my last garmin
My 3rd and last garmin. The biggest feature that I like on my first Garmin was missing: the display of up and coming city cross street. The newer version only show street I am currently on, which is worthless. It did show the up and coming freeway exit, which is also worthless, since there are enough sign on the freeway already.
Great GPS
It is a great GPS, both for the money and for the performance. I got this Garmin because I owned other Garmins and I like them. I got this particular Garmin because it was on sale and represented a good deal. I am happy about my purchase and would recommend it to any one.
Brand new Garmin Nuvi 260W
This Garmin Camera 260W Red has the potential to be a useful camera. I am having some difficulty in learning how to work it with the instructions that came in the package. I intend to go on the internet and look up more detailed instructions. I like the compact size of the camera which fits easily in my pocket.
NEGATIVE COMMENTS: Since ordering the Nuvi 260W camera I have deluged with arriving packages containing cameras and GPS’s which I did not order. After spending considerable time trying to resolve these arrivals, I finally called Amazon Customer Service. I have received 2 each of GPS’s and other things. The person said that I should send the packages back to Amazon and immediately sent by e-mail a return slip which she said would cover the cost of the package. Since there are additonal items yet to arrive she said I am to add these items to the one return shipment and I will be credited for them. If all this turns out satisfactorily I will be very happy with Amazon’s service.
The Nuvi 260W Camera was purchased from Amazon via the internet.
I can see clearly now
The screen is large and is easy to use and the voice is clear and not over bearing. We are just loving it.
Shoddy & unreliable–died for no reason after only 15 mos.
I’ve never been happy with the performance of this GPS; from the day I got it from Amazon a little over one year ago it was clunky and low-tech, as well as slow to access satellite reception. But far worse, it died today while we were on a trip and most needed it. I will never buy another Garmin nuvi–and especially not this low-quality model.
